| Events
This tool allows an organization to manage events, which are relevant for the date, time, & location that they take place(which differ from news, which is relevant for when it is announced). Some of the features of the Event tool include:
- Users can browse events by day, week, or month.
- Users have the option to include an image that will appear on the summary page of the section, as well as larger image that will appear in the body of the event.
- The option of providing contact information for each event. Contact information can either be entered manually, or can be an existing user within the system. If the latter, then if the account information changes for the user, the changes will automatically be updated in all events that have that user as the contact.
- Upcoming events can be summarized on the summary page of each section, along with other current information from other tools.
- Full integration with the search utility.
- Even though an event can only be added to one section, it can be "cross-posted" to other sections so that it appears with the other section's own events.
- Events can repeat based on intervals that the user can customize.
- By using the personalization features, users can have the entire contents of an event sent to them in email messages when a new event is added to a particular section.
